Ellectrica & DJ Max are folked

Folk” is the newest Ellectrica Recordings EP. It’s produced by Ellectrica and his long time friend DJ Max. After the big success of Ellectrica last release “Backspin” number 17 at Beatport top seller minimal tracks, they cooperate with young and very talented DJ Max.

Folk is strong tech house and proggy track with amazing Bulgarian ethno folk voices and organic gayda instrument.

First remix is made by Ellectrica Recordings big friend Ismael Rivas from well known Spainish label Factomania. He put his hypnotic beats and melody to give more power to the EP. Argentina based Jonatan Tesei well known as Kintar made the second remix on this EP and it remix sounds more progressive and melodic.

IMS – resume and poll results

The second annual International Music Summit was declared a resounding success as its Grand Finale, held at Ibiza’s formerly off bounds Dalt Villa, drew to a close.

The organizers, it seems, have a lot to be happy about after witnessing a 30% rise in delegate participation (400 delegates from 29 countries made it to Ibiza) as compared to last year. This year‘s edition also saw a number of key topics for the well being of the underground music industry in the future being brought to the floor for the first time, the most notable of which, according to the press release, was a somewhat angry speech given by none other than techno don Richie Hawtin.

Every delegate was asked to vote on a wide range of topics after each panel and discussion was finished, the results of which are to be found below:

01. Do electronic artists need labels in the Beatport era?
Yes: 76.5%

02. Are hype charts still relevant to this business?
No: 53%

03. Is piracy still a major threat to your business?
Yes: 70.4%

04. Is it possible to reverse the trend of “free” music to the consumer?
No: 62%

05. Do you now accept that ‘mobile has become the social fabric of youth’
Yes: 80%

06. Will the Spotify streaming model work for the electronic music industry?
Yes: 55%

07. Does radio ultimately still rule?
Yes: 65%

08. Would you welcome a new DJ Top 100 style chart based on actual audience figures?

09. Is good festival billing now critical to the success of a breaking artist?
